Discrimination

Oh, Great Spirit, keep me from ever judging a man until I've walked in his moccasins.

This sentence told us that we cannot judge others by using a wrong view, and we need to respect everybody. Everyone has equal rights to be repected in the society. We do not have righit to judge others without any reasons. On the other hand, no body likes to be discriminated. people have to think that if someone discriminate you, how do you feel about that.  Absolutely, peopel who are discriminated will feel so upsit and disappointed. We need to consider others’ feeling. Put yourselves in their place, and you will know what kind of things you cannot do to others. For example, we can not judge and treat others implitely to someone, only because of their eye colors, skin, colors or other things. We kown nothing about them, such as personalities, characters, and something else, so we couldn't judge them. Discrimination cannot exist everywhere. Although, it is very hard to avoid this in our life, we have to do our best to make it disappear. Peopel need to respect everyone around them.

POPULATION

1. How many children did your grandparents have? What about your parents? How many

children do you (want to) have?

My grandmother and grandfather had 5 children, 3 daughter and 2 sons. My grandpa and grandma had 2 sons. my parents only had me. I want to have 2 children.

2. What is the population of your country? What impact does the population have on the quality of life there?

In China, the population is 1.3 billion.
The growing populatiion has many aspects of impact on Chinses society such as pollutions, economy, traffice, food supplies, education, medicine, social securaty, and social welfare. Cities have become more crowd, and decrease the qulity of life. For example, in Beijing a route took around 40 minutes, but now it may take around 2 hours, because of traffic jam. It wastes our time, and our life is not that effecious.

3. Has there been a significant population shift in your country from rural areas to urban areas? If yes, what are the consequences?
Yes. The population of cities grows fast, and some cities will be more crowd. A large part of labor went to cities, so these is not enough labor in rural areas. It is not good for our argriculture. Therefore, the disparity between rural areas and urban areas will be larger than before.

Topic of Research

I want to talk about something that are spotted in recent years.
I think I may talk about the problem of teaching Chinese as a second language.
I can talk about why Chinese become more popular in the world wide, why Chinese is very difficult, how languages can show the differences between Chinese and English.
Maybe I will talk about that the different culture of Chinese and Amrica influence the TV industry such as TV series, TV shows, and soap operas.
Actually, I am not really sure which topic I will choose. I am going to surch much information on Internat. Maybe i will talk about something else.
